Box4Blox is the solution to scattered Lego’s

I’m really excited to be able to review Box4Blox because it’s serves such a practical purpose. If your kids are like mine, they love Lego’s. Lego’s are a very common pass time for many kids on the Autism Spectrum. All three of my boys are on the Autism Spectrum and they all enjoy building with their Lego’s. I’ve actually written about Lego’s many times over the past year because they play such a dominate role in my boys lives.

We have had the pleasure of using Box4Blox for a few weeks now and I have to say that this is by far, one of the most ingenious things I have ever used. The concept is so incredibly simple but it works very well.

Basically you have 4 trays that stack together. This works like those sand box toys we all played with when we were kids. The yellow tray sorts the large Lego pieces, the blue tray sorts the medium size pieces, the red tray sorts the smaller pieces and the green tray collects all the little tiny pieces. All your child has to do is pour Lego’s into the top (yellow) tray and gently shake the stacked boxes.

As the Lego’s move back and forth, they are automatically sorted by size. When you pull the tray’s apart, all your Lego’s are sorted by size. This makes finding the pieces they need or want much easier. This has also made Daddy’s life easier as well because I no longer have to help dig through their Lego collection in search of really small pieces. You can even store the Leg’s in the Box4Blox as well. Now you can’t store their entire Lego collection, but you can easily store the most commonly used Lego’s. With that said, the Box4Blox does actually hold quite a large amount of Lego’s and that also a welcomed plus.

All three of my boys are able to use the Box4Blox with very minimal effort. One of the concerns I had was that some of my boys struggle in the motor skills department so I wasn’t sure they would be able to use this. However, I was very pleased to see that they are all using the Box4Blox without any trouble. Even Emmett, my 3 year old, uses this.

Something else that I really like, is that my kids actually enjoy putting their Lego’s away now. Let me say this again in case you missed it. My boys actually enjoy putting their Lego’s away now.

The build quality is really good. The Box4Blox is made from a durable plastic and should survive extended use quite well. The tray’s are actually slightly flexible so they seem to absorb the sometimes, abusive hands of my enthusiastic little Lego builders. I’m very impressed with this product. I I know that my 3 boys absolutely love this thing.

The only downside, if you really even consider it a downside, is that it’s noisy while you are initially sorting the Lego’s. However, once they are sorted, that’s it. Before the Box4Blox, my kids were constantly digging for Lego’s in the toy box. The noise would drive me crazy. While this isn’t exactly quiet while sorting, it’s only noisy for a very short period of time. So that makes this Daddy and migraine prone Mommy, very happy 🙂

In closing, if you own Lego’s, you will want a Box4Blox.

These things are absolutely FANTASTIC! Every parent with lego-age children (well, face it – BOYS!) would love one (more?) of these.

Um, EJ hasn't made it into a toy yet has he?! 😉

With two boys on the spectrum and a million legos this would be a life saver! Especially for all those "mommy, come be my piece-finder" calls I get while, I don't know, trying to make breakfast! If this is how I enter for the give away, I'm entering. If I have to do something else, let me know!
