Putting out the fires

Elliott was an emotional wreck once again tonight. The poor guy is so stressed out and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do to provide any long term relief.

At this point it’s all I can do not put out the individual fires.

It’s not very effective or efficient but it’s all I can do right now.

Do any of you know what that’s like? Never really being able to address the root of the problem because you’re too busy putting out individual fires?

However, he feel asleep tonight and so far, is still asleep.

It sounds like he and Lizzie are the most affected by everything. What about sending them out of the house once or twice a week to do something relaxing and fun?  I have no idea what they would both like, but I am sure you could come up with a solution. I try to do this with my youngest when he gets overwhelmed and feeling left out.

@rmagliozzi that has been our goal. It just never seems to work out.

Awww…yeh, stress and anxiety can just do a number on you for sure….children and adults alike.  Hope he slept through the night without too much trouble.

Poor Elliot and poor you. It's tough. We have that same issue with our ADHD daughter. You just never know what end is up. Hope things settle down for you soon!

Poor little guy. I do love the way the doggie is checking on him. She's such a special pup!
