Does fruit make your child with #Autism smile?

Emmett’s been into eating fruit for the last day or so. He goes through the phases where all he wants is fruit or all he wants is junk food.

Today happens to be a fruit day.

As you can see, Emmett is quite happy with with his apple and orange this morning.

I’m not going to complain.

Does fruit make your kids in the #Autism spectrum smile?

I think that you are fortunate that your kids aren’t as picky as some. My grandkids only eat certain foods, very little fruit and no vegetables. Its a blessing when they do eat fruit. I wish I knew how to get them to try different things that are healthy for them. The twins seem to be texture driven and mainly eat things that are crunchy. Their younger brother eats mostly dairy and protein only. I am just grateful for whatever they eat. I have heard that some autistic kids have even more limited diets.

@michelle trupiano typically, my boys are extremely picky eaters. Emmett’s food has to be absolutely perfect or he won’t touch it. It could definitely be worse but it could absolutely be better.
