How to make a grown man scream like a little girl

I’m actually pretty freaked out right now still and I feel kind of ridiculous but it is what it is.

I was in the bathroom…um…..brushing my teeth.

There was a bath towel on the floor and Cleo was playing with it.  She lives in the bathroom for some reason so seeing her roll around on the floor is a daily event.

I was thinking to myself, man I hope there isn’t a mouse under there and I really hope it doesn’t run at me and climb up my pants leg…
Then I sorta laughed it off like, what are the chances of that happening? Right?

Not 60 seconds later, out runs a mouse and it friggin ran up my leg.  It literally ran up the inside of my pant leg.  It was like I no sooner pushed the thought out of my head and it actually happened.

Of course, in true manly fashion, I freaked the fuck out and screamed at the top of my lungs, just like a little girl. I started kicking my leg just like Candace in the S.I.M.P video from Phineas and Ferb.

Not one of my prouder moments.

However, how many of you out wouldn’t have freaked out as well? Let’s see those hands.

Anyway, Cleo is about worthless when it comes to catching mice.  It’s like she’s a PETA supporter or something.  I’m not fond of anything being killed, at least by my hands. Having said that, I’ve also never had a mouse climb up my leg like that.

After I regained my composure, I called for Lizze to come upstairs, without the boys.

I had trapped the mouse under a box and wanted to know how we should get rid of it. I also wanted to make sure she knew I was okay  -insert sarcasm here-  because she hadn’t heard me screaming. 🙂

Clearly Cleo wasn’t cat enough to finish the job.  However, before we could decide, Maggie comes running in and killed it.  At least it didn’t suffer and it was over instantly.

I scooped it up and gave it a ride home on the porcelain express, observed a moment of silence and told the boys not to let Maggie give them kisses for a while.

I also told Lizze that we may have to reconsider Elliott’s request for a kitten.  Not only will it help Elliott but also help with the mice we get during the winter.

Can you imagine if that had happened to one of the boys or even Lizze?

Oh man. Not good.
