Operation Hope: Taking back control

I wanted to share the latest update to Operation Hope.  Part of Operation Hope is the Lost and Tired family moving forward.  In order to do that, we have to know that Gavin is in a safe place,  and he is.

We have to be able to begin to heal the rest of the family and that’s no easy task.

A lot of damage has been done and it will take a long time to recover.

Having said that, one of the things Lizze and I have to do is try to get our health back.  I’m excited to say that we are doing just that.

I want to show you the progress we made today, towards our goal of weight loss, better managed depression and overall health improvement.

Lizze and I had the day to ourselves.  Instead of succumbing to our exhaustion, we pushed through and walked well over 5 miles today,  at a pretty decent pace.
We have been walking all week and we feel great.

Lizze hurts like there’s no tomorrow but she’s also seeing progress, having lost over 10 lbs.

I’m so proud of us both.  Our goal is to take control back over our lives and help move forward with all of our kids.

Have you considered cycling? It’s the most energy-efficient means of transportation known to man, and it’s great exercise, doesn’t put undue stress on the knees etc. When I used to bicycle sometimes it felt like I was flying. I went as much as 30 miles in a day; not sure how that translates to walking.

MeaghanGood yes we have. Just don’t own any bike’s
