Emmett John is in a great deal of pain.  It kills me to see any of my kids suffer. My heart has been breaking for my sweet little boy since yesterday.  The fever disorder that Emmett has suffered from, for the last two years has officially made it's return after a about a 7 or 8 month hiatus. It began about two days ago when Emmett became cranky and started falling asleep during the day, which never happens. Then we noticed the first of what would become many mouth sores. By this morning, his mouth and throat were full of them and for the first since shortly after his surgery, he actually spiked a high grade fever. I'm pleased to announce that Lost and Tired is officially running off our new, upgraded server.  Hopefully, this will eliminate the performance and database issues.  The site should load much faster and be much, much more stable.  With any luck, I should have a lot more head room and this will fit for the near future.  You may experience intermittent downtime as the DNS propagation finishes up over the next few days. Hey everyone, I wanted to give you a head up because I'm forced to changed to a new server.  Right now I'm on a shared server and I'm being constantly throttled. That means that my site uses more than 7% of the available CPU power, my site comes to a crawl until my usage drops.  This is related to the traffic or so I'm being told.  I will be moving to a VPS or Virtual Private Server.  This will give me the head room that I need to continue growing. For those of you that missed my post from early this morning, Child Protective Services has officially closed our case.  You may recall that we were the victims of spite call to Child Protective Services.  A spite call is basically when someone knowingly makes a false report, with the specific intent to do harm and create drama in someone's life. I feel very strongly that's what happened to us and while I don't know for sure when it was, we have a pretty good idea. While this person was unsuccessful, in the sense that we prevailed in the end, they did succeed in turning our lives upside down. There were two explosions this morning.  They were close enough that they shook the windows of our house.  Supposedly, it's a cannon. You heard me right.....a cannon. There is talk throughout our neighborhood that someone has an antique cannon and they fire it off from time to time.. If this is true, this person fires this damn thing off at all hours of the day and night.  We will be awoken in the wee hours of the morning by this same explosion.  It's scares the crap out of the boys and shakes the entire house. Lizze has decided to reschedule her MRI that was supposed to happen in Cleveland this afternoon.  The reasons behind that are pretty practical. We have very, very limited resources. The other problems is that Lizze has two upcoming procedures in Cleveland, that are more important than the MRI.  We are also limited on our options for the boys while we make these trips.  Basically it comes down to using our resources  more responsibly and prioritizing. That means that we have to be a bit more selective in what we do. Gavin's not having a good day already.  It's like he doesn't care because he already isn't going to his Grandma's, so all bets are off.  It's going to be a very long day if this continues.  Hopefully, he will find his way to making better decisions, at least to the best of his abilities.  We've never expected perfection but like to see an effort being made. This has been a long and emotionally traumatic journey. I've shared this journey with all of you and tonight I'm pleased to announce that the investigation is officially closed.
