Tuesday Trouble

I’m completely exhausted and Emmett’s been up since before sunrise, screaming.  His mouth sores have really taken their toll on him.

This is the worst fever flare to-date.

He’s miserable and unfortunately, taking everyone with him.

Emmett won’t take the medications that will kill his pain because even flavored, they taste horrible and he ends up throwing everything right back up. Which essentially makes things worse.

I can tell that it’s already going to be a very, very long day.

At the time of writing this post, Lost and Tired is still down do to a server crash. I’m writing anyway and will post these when I’m back online.  To keep things in context, it’s about 8 am.

I can’t wait to go back to sleep.

I love sleep.  Never get enough sleep.

What a bummer. I hope his flare ends soon. We get flares over here, but they are not as painful as Emmett’s. They are just PANDAS attacks and everyone goes crazy. Poor guy must be miserable with those mouth sores! What about giving him some lysine every day? I wonder if your doctor would be willing to consider it? It is a natural antiviral and reduces cold sores very safely and protects skin and mucus membranes.  My oldest PANDAS kiddo who has epstein barr virus and human herpes six (roseola) virus among other things takes 1,000 mg lysine daily along with an enzyme called Virastop that breaks down viruses and keeps them from replicating. He would throw up everytime he tried to take acyclovir, so that’s what we had to do.
