How are you doing?

It occurred to me this evening that you all know how we are doing but I don‘t know how you are doing.  It’s important to me to stay in touch with my readers and I would love to get to know you all better.

I thought that I could start things out by simply asking how you are doing?

Life is pretty much the same as always. Learning to manage my conditions, as that is an ever evolving thing, and the need to learn more never ends. The most important thing is taking things a day at a time. The future terrifies me, because if I can deal with 2 incurable, life-long conditions at 20, in addition to whatever remains undiagnosed, if I can spend so much time feeling like an 80 yr old woman, then what do I have to look forward to as I get older?? I should be at my peak, in terms of my physical health, and I’m not, so getting into my thirties is scary. Mostly, I just try not to think about it. Not 40, not 30, not 25, not 21. It is September 15th, 2013, my 20th year of life, and that is all I see. I have some hard decisions ahead of me, and right now my biggest struggle is financially; often the end result is based solely on what I can afford, and not on what I really need. That is hard, but if I can list all the things that aren’t good, then I can list what is. I have a new business opportunity with a company that could very well solve those financial problems, and in addition, they specialize in all natural supplements that could help with my overall health, as well. My job is going well(I work as a nanny), and a friend of mine may even be able to get me another little one soon, so I can increase my income further. I’m on a new supplement, 2, actually, for sleep and stress relief. My doctor is pleased with my progress and feels I’m doing well. So I have my fair share to be happy with, as well. I hope you do too, and God bless.

I am doing good. I am a mom of two kids with PANDAS, and one has autism. They got PANDAS because they are sick with a variety of illnesses, including Epstein Barr virus, roseola (our new favorite), strep, mycoplasma and lyme disease, between both of them.  I have no idea how my children manage to function and walk around with all this stuff hanging out inside their bodies, but they go to school, they play sports and do swimming. My house is literally like a pharmacy right now. I often have to play Dr. House when there is a crisis and figure out what has gone wrong and sometimes I have to fix it if the doctor is not available. Recently, I had to figure out a natural antiviral protocol for my oldest when the antiviral meds made him too sick to his stomach. Luckily it was a success.
I just got a new job recruiting for a staffing company, and we are going to try afterschool care for the oldest, for the first time ever. We’ll see how that goes. I am very excited to be getting back into recruiting and to hopefully help reduce the unemployment rate where I live.
