Introducing GPS Personal Solutions

My Secret Autism Project Revealed

I have been eluding to a special project that I have been working on. We are getting closer and closer to the finish line and I have a preview video of what part of this project will do and how it will work. I would like to introduce to you GPS Personal Solutions. My main role in this company is on a revolutionary GPS tracking device for children with Autism called, The Guardian Tracker.

I will have more information on the tracking device itself at a later date. For right now, I am sharing the user interface with you.

The user interface or platform, is what you will be accessing in order to track your child, should they wander off. You will see that this is an absolutely amazing interface that allows you to immediately locate the device your child is carrying and more importantly your child as well. While it’s important to note that nothing is ever 100% due to limitations in current technology, this is as close as it gets.

We wanted to share this with all of you and show you what is coming soon. This is not a commercial release DEMO video but rather an internal release that’s meant to be viewed internally. The audio quality isn’t fantastic but it’s more than enough to show you what we are working on and how it will save lives.

Our mission is to save lives. The Guardian Tracker won’t prevent your child from wandering, but it does help to ensure immediate recovery. We have features like GeoFence, that will allow you to set up a perimeter and be notified immediately should your child breach that perimeter.

Again, I’ll have much more on the device itself in a coming post. For now, I’m prepared to share this video with you and answer any questions you might have. Please feel free to contact me with your questions or simply leave a comment below. Contact Me

After the video has concluded, please take a second and take part in our POLL. We need your input on a few things and would greatly appreciate your time. Your input will help to ensure that  your needs and the needs of your family are met by The Guardian Tracker and our GPS tracking service.

I should add that it’s a really good concept, but what makes this product different
from the others on the market?  Pocketfinder has great, small
transmitters, low cost monthly service, and you can get them locally
(walmart, kmart).  Zoomback is another service that’s been around for a
while, and has transmitters that you can buy anywhere.  All these devices and monthly service costs come in at the low end of your survey.

Can you tell us what GPS personal solutions offers that sets it apart from these other companies?

hayjane our technology is more advanced.  I’ll have more details later on.

Out of that entire 17 minute video, I understood about 4 words that he said.

This is an incredibly fantastic idea!! There is definitely a market for such a device, and it something all autism parents should really invest in. There have been too many deaths as a consequence of kids wandering off, and a device like this really would have been a life saver in those circumstances.

My first thought that had come to mind was that my daughter is getting older. She currently has a gate across her bedroom door that is mounted and has a door to it. But she is going to eventually figure it out and get out. She already knows how to unlock the front door but thankfully out deadbolt is locked by key inside as well and I have taken to removing the key from it at night just in case she ever does get out of her room so she can not get out of the house through the front door at least. Just in a scenario where a child could get out of a house at night having an option where the perimeter would “shrink” so to speak at a set time so that IF a child would were to get out you would be notified quicker. It may only be a few seconds but in some cases those few seconds count. I was just wondering what pre-configuration options there were if any.

The Bacon and Juice Boxes Facebook page has a thread dealing with the use of this locating device. See link below.

I’m not sure but you can set up mulitiple perimeters and switch between them. I’l l look into that but I’m not sure how useful that feature would be. Is there a reason your looking for that.

Nicole Logan

Does it have the option to adjust the parameters for different times? Like to make the allowable range much less for like nighttime hours and such?

Lost and Tired

The GeoFence is an awesome feature because you can custom create your own perimeter. When the perimeter is breached, you can be immediately notified via text etc and you can intervene.

We will also be developing an app for both Android and iOS

Nicole Logan

Yeah, I like that and I like the perimeter function.

This device is very small and can be worn in a number of ways. We are wanting this to be as sensory sensitive as possible. The big difference with the Guardian Tracker is that YOU have the ability to track the device and your child from your computer, whenever you want, in realtime.

Nicole Logan

We have something here called Project Lifesaver that the sheriff’s office sponsors but my daughter will not wear the band with the tracking device on her wrist or ankle. They have been checking on other options but haven’t gotten back to me on it yet. I would be interested to know more on the device the child would have. And I hope you don’t mind but I shared locally to spread the word.

Brie King

That. Is. Awesome. Thanks Rob!

Rebecca Bishop Curriden

There have been too many heartbreaking and tragic stories of kids with autism wandering off and dying in the news lately. I told my husband that I’ve thought about getting a chip implant like what pets have for my daughter just in case it ever happens to her. I can’t wait to see the final product!

Lost and Tired

I appreciate the feedback. Stay tuned for more information and please help spread the word. 🙂

Rebecca Bishop Curriden

Holy crap! That’s what I’ve been talking to my husband about that someone needed to do! Great job man! Keep it coming!

pegfive

please get a narrator that we can understand.

lostandtired

pegfive as I stated, this was an internal release and you’re right, if this was a commercial release, we would have a different narrator.  🙂

KatrinaMoody  CarlYoung HollyRPeete Does anyone have thoughts on this project? I think the ability of a parent to immediately be able to locate their child is invaluable. There are big players involved in this project and one of my jobs is to make sure this is something that would benefit the community. I would love to get a discussion going on what you see the needs of the Autism Community being, in regards to wandering.
