I'm awarding this a bit early today but I feel like this will definitely set the bar for the day.  Unfortunately, we had to remove Gavin’s ability to play with Legos again.  He's has been hoarding them for himself and leaving his brothers with only a few pieces.  He was given multiple chances but he didn't listen.  This led to us having to take them away again.  The goal being for him to know what it's like to not have Legos to play with. That's what the other boys were feeling when he was hogging them all.  He got mad and trashed his huge Lego ship that he had made and began winding up to throw a tantrum. Emmett and Elliott received the August editions of their most favorite magazine in the world, Hightlights. My grandmother bought them both subscriptions and she got Gavin a subscription to National Geographic Kids. Elliott's hard at work trying to find all the hidden pictures and reading through his magazine. I just finished reading Emmett's Highlights magazine to him, while he snuggled with me on the couch.  This was the perfect gift for the whole family. It appears that Gavin is sick.  He's not supposed to be but when has his body ever followed the rules? He's says that he feels fine but he has rather explosive tummy issues. It's possible that he ate something in Cleveland yesterday that isn't agreeing with him.  It's also possible that he simply ate too much junk.  If Gavin is not closely watched, he will literally inhale anything he can get his hands on.  He has absolutely no natural ability to regulate his own intake and never feels full. This is why we have to run such a tight ship when it comes to his diet. Gavin got home before his brothers this evening because he rode with my sister.  He was probably home for a good 2 hours before Elliott and Emmett got back.  In that time, he and I got some cleaning done.  Gavin was a big help and he did an absolutely awesome job. He was also really tired from playing all day with his cousins that he even went to bed early.  He was totally pooped and was out before his head hit his pillow.  I also wanted to sneak in this picture of his latest Lego creation.  It's some kind of robot but nothing in particular. Lizze and I had some time to ourselves this afternoon while the boys were with my parents.  We had a really long night last night with Emmett and we were exhausted. The title of this post is sort of play on words.  Lizze hasn't been feeling well the past couple of days and today she was pretty sick.  I was really tired from being up so late with Emmett last night.  Put us together and we're Sick and Tired. Pretty lame, right? I know, it's just that kind of day. :-P On of the things I wanted to do today, besides watching another Stephen King movie, was get Lizze out of the house. Gavin has been talking incessantly all day.  To be more accurate, he's been talking incessantly for weeks but he's kicked it up a knotch today.  This is all just an upward swing of the bipolar disorder.  An upward swing is one in the manic direction.  A downward swing would be one in the depressive direction. When his moods are balanced, they sorta equalize, somewhere in the middle. What tends to happen with Gavin is that he becomes manic when he's unstable.  When he's manic, he's very hyper and scattered.  He will talk incessantly and his thoughts are a jumbled mess. If you can even understand what he's physically saying, his words don't make any sense. Typically, his manic phase will bring it's friend psychosis along with it. This just means…

If you follow my Facebook page, you know that Lizze and I were watching classic Steven King movies last night.  As we were finishing the last 20 minutes of "IT", Emmett came racing down the steps in a complete panic. Apparently he had another nightmare and was scared. He fell asleep on Lizze, on the couch. When Lizze and I were going to bed, I decided that Emmett and I would sleep on the couch because he wasn't likely to sleep well and I wanted Lizze to get some rest.
