In just a few hours, we will be dropping the E’s off at my parents and taking Gavin to Akron Children’s Hospital in order for him to receive his first ever, subcutaneous IVIG Infusion.
This is a long time coming and the result of almost 3 months or preparations.
The procedure will begin around noon and last about 2 hours. This is really going to be a test of Gavin’s bravery because he will have several needles sticking in his belly at the same time.
He doesn’t appear to be really nervous but I’m not sure he even remembers that we’re going today.
I’m really nervous because I have a feeling he’s going to freak out and that level of stress can trigger an Autonomic Crisis and that would be a really bad thing.
Please keep Gavin in your thoughts and prayers today as we begin this new journey..

My heavens you’ve had tough week. Jack and I will be thinking of Gavin tonight and sending him strength and love from Africa. I hope you and Lizze are doing okay too. Jack suggests Gavin designs a zombie apocalypse to distract him, he says if you think of hunting zombies you don’t feel the pain. Light, love and laughter to you all Jo and Jack
