The Did You Know’s of Divorce: Putting aside personal feelings and putting the kids first

The road that divorce takes you down is not set in stone.  There’s no predetermined outcome and at least in most cases, there’s a choice that you have to make.

That choice is whether or not you’re willing to do whatever it takes, in order to work together with the other parent, towards the betterment of your children.

I can tell you from personal experience, making that decision and following through, isn’t always going to be easy.

When divorce occurs, the adults get their feelings hurt, while the lives of their kids get turned inside out and upside down.

It’s easy to lose site of who the real victims are because there’s a lot of emotion involved.

That being said, the kids should always be the primary focus and finding ways to overcome or put aside any differences you have with the other parent is vital for your kids to feel safe, loved and that their entire world hasn’t just imploded.

Working together is the best way to ensure your kids can come out the other side of this dark tunnel, as well adjusted as possible.

I wish I could get my EX to read this. The divorce & everything following has been all
about him!! He’s only made our kids’ lives worse (and mine included).

Send him a link…..maybe he’ll read it..
