I’m really getting worried about Emmett

Lizze and I have been working with Emmett to help him fall asleep tonight. He’s not feeling good again and hasn’t been able to fall asleep.

I’m getting worried about Emmett because he’s really struggling with these tummy aches. His pediatrician has checked him out on many occasions but found nothing. I think it’s time to return to his Gastroenterologist. He hasn’t had to go back since his food allergies cleared up but I think it’s a good direction to go in.

Emmett wants to go to school today but he’s clearly struggling.

I think I’m going to get him back into see his pediatrician ASAP. I tried calling last night but I can’t schedule something until the morning. I wish I knew how to help him but I don’t.

I have no idea how school is going to go, or if it’s going to go at all for that matter. Lizze and I will have to make that decision when he wake up.

Please keep Emmett in your thoughts and prayers.

As a curiosity, does he have stomach problems on the weekends? The other day when you took everyone to Lizze’s appointment, how was his stomach? I guess I’m wondering if he is wanting to get out of school and knows that telling you he has a stomach ache will do it. It really sounds like something about school is bothering him and he doesn’t want to go. I know you don’t think the boys are capable of manipulation, but most kids are and I think there might be some of that going on here. It reminds me of a few years ago when Elliott was (per Dr. Pattie) manipulating you to get out of homework. Just food for thought. I don’t mean to sound judgmental but you are so close to this situation that you might not be able to see the forest for the trees.

For what it’s worth: as a former nurseI think you’re ‘searching’ in the right direction. I know you won’t take: ‘It’ll be alright.’ as an answer!!! (besides, parents know bést when their child IS ill.) Wishing you and Lizze renewed strength.
