Just a few things I’m thankful for

It’s been a lot of doom and gloom lately because of life throwing so crazy shit in our direction, with laser-guided precision. In the spirit of Easter, I wanted to take a step back and gain some much-needed perspective. What better way to do that then share a few things I’m thankful for. 😀

First of all, I’m grateful for my family. We often find ourselves struggling or facing obstacles that may seem impossible in the moment, but we always find a way. I can’t ask for more than that. My wife and kids are absolutely amazing and the light of my life. ☺

We have family on both sides that are incredibly supportive, and we wouldn’t have made it this far without them.

Lizze and I both lost a grandparent in recent months, and this is the first Easter without them. They are missed dearly, but we’re so grateful that my grandmother has moved into town. We can see her more easily now, as she’s not 90 minutes away. I’m thankful she’s so close, and while I know she’d prefer to home, she’s adjusting to her new surroundings.

Our lives are often chaotic, but we’re working to slow things down a bit and gain a better footing. Change isn’t easy for an Autism family, but we’re working together to make and adjust to some changes. I’m proud of my family for never giving up and always working to move forward. ☺

I’m thankful for the work that’s come in this past week. I’m made some new connections and partnerships that will hopefully help carry me forward. I’m also incredibly grateful for all the companies that are sponsoring reviews as well. Reviews drive traffic and traffic is good for business. It’s also good for my family, as well as my awareness efforts.

Being an Autism parent can be lonely. Many of us lose family and friends along the way. It’s an unfortunate reality that all too many face. Lizze and I don’t have many friends in real life, but we’re grateful for the ones we do have. We’re also thankful for our online friends as well. The internet brings us all together in ways that were not possible in previous generations. 😀

There are so many things we should remember to be thankful for. It’s not always easy because life is hard and often unfair, but all of these things are important to remain focused on.

On that positive note, I’ll take my leave for now and enjoy Easter with my family. I wish you all the best, and we’ll talk soon. 😀
