3 Signs You Need To Take Better Care Of Your Health

We only have a finite number of years on this planet, so you need to do your best to look after yourself. With that in mind, here are three key signs that you need to take action to improve the state of your health:

You’re short of breath after walking upstairs

Generally, shortness of breath is a big indication that you have underlying health problems. It’s normal to be short of breath in some situations – such as when you’re exercising or doing something that’s mildly rigorous. But, when you’re gasping for air after simple physical tasks – like walking upstairs – it’s a sign that you are incredibly unfit. Your cardiovascular health is not in a good condition, and this is a sign for you to do something about it. Thankfully, following an exercise routine and being more active can help you turn things around and improve your health.

You’ve got high blood pressure

High blood pressure is a condition that should raise some alarm bells inside your mind. People who suffer from high blood pressure are at an increased risk of suffering from a range of heart health conditions. At the most extreme end of the scale, you are at risk of suffering from a heart attack. Unfortunately, high blood pressure hardly has any noticeable symptoms, so it’s difficult for you to recognize if you are suffering from it or not. The only way to know this is by doing your blood pressure readings – and you can buy the equipment needed for this online, or see your doctor for periodic checks. Your blood pressure is recorded with two readings – a high number over a low one. The higher number is the systolic pressure, which shows the force that the heart pumps blood around your body. The lower number is the diastolic pressure, which is the resistance to the blood flow in your blood vessels. High blood pressure is usually diagnosed when your readings are 140/90mmHg. If you have this, it’s a sign you need to change your lifestyle to lower it.

You drink too much alcohol

Alcohol is one of the most damaging drugs to the human body. This is why it’s recommended that you never have more than 14 units a week, which equates to around 6 pints of beer. Do you find yourself having more of this? You don’t have to drink them all in one go, but even having a pint of beer per night is going to lead to health complications. While it’s a little early to check into drug and alcohol rehab, this can be the start of a possible addiction. Not to mention that regular alcohol consumption is linked to an increased risk of cancer, obesity, and all the subsequent health conditions associated with obesity. If you have a drink of alcohol per day, that’s a sign you drink too much and need to stop.

Do you recognize these signs in yourself? If so, it’s time to take action and reverse any negative effects on your body, helping you achieve better health.  Abbeycare Foundation stated that it is possible to beat an addiction, and seeking assistance is always worthwhile.

Many people are also turning to THC as an alternative to alcohol these days. Replacing a glass of beer with some cannabis gummies or a whiff from a vape pen can have many health benefits, not just physical but mental and emotional. It provides relaxation, pain relief, increased creativity, and better sleep patterns without the effects of a hangover or any sort of addiction. Not only does it make for an enjoyable experience, but choosing Delta 9 THC Gummies over alcohol can activate the body’s natural endocannabinoid system, leading to numerous health benefits such as improved metabolism, immune system regulation and better stress responses.
