zPods is helping #autistic kids sleep better

One of the most common questions I get from the parents of autistic kids, has to do with sleep or lack there of it. Autistic kids can struggle with sleep for a million different reasons and it’s very common. Parents often find themselves sleep deprived and struggling. I can speak from personal experience in regards to chronic sleep deprivation and it’s awful. It just is.

Having said that, I wanted to take a few minutes and briefly share a little bit about a project I’m working on or rather, with. It’s called zPods and it’s so cool.

zPods is a new type of bed designed for our neurodivergent kiddos and helps them to feel safe and comfortable, which naturally promotes sleep. Check out the new video they just shared.

The whole idea behind zPods is controlling the sleep environment. I think it’s really cool and it reminds me of something you’d see in a Syfy movie. Everytime I see these, I think of sleeping in a spaceship and I’m not ashamed to say that the kid in me wants one.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this because the video is done very well, and maybe this is something you’ve been looking for. It’s such a cool thing when we can find solutions to problems our kids are struggling with. Sleep is so important and when our autistic kids don’t sleep, neither do their parents. You can find out more about zPods on their new website. Be sure to check out the stories from kiddos sharing their experience with zPods.

Absolutely amazing! I wish they had invented this when my son was young. I’m glad to see so many innovators creating products that benefit kids on the spectrum. As a much older parent, I’ve lost a lot of hours of sleep over the years. This pod appears to have great possibilities as a game changer for these kids.
