This is the coolest bee I've ever seen (photography) The boys and I were out exploring nature the other day. They Pokémon hunt, and explore creek beds. I take pictures of anything that catches my eye. I've mentioned before I have a thing for beds, and I was floored when I stumbled across this one. I have no idea what it's called but it's beautiful. I was able to use the picture to teach my kids how bees help pollinate plants and flowers. I just can't get over how cool this thing looks..

This is the coolest bee I've ever seen (photography) The boys and I were out exploring nature the other day. They Pokémon hunt, and explore creek beds. I haven't seen a Japanese beetle in forever (photography) On our nature trip yesterday, I found this little invasive species. I used to catch Japanese beetles all the time when I was a kid. Until today, Elliott had never seen one before, which kinda blew my mind because they were so common when I was his age. I remember those smelly Japanese beetle traps people used to leave in their yards. Good times.. Anyway, I caught this with my Samsung Galaxy S8+. I really, really wish I had more time to capture images of the things I come across. I love this picture...

I love taking pictures of bees on flowers (Photography) Aside from my kids, bees are hands down my favorite things to take pictures of. It's said that if bees go extinct, we won't be too far behind, pun intended. There's just something about a creature this small, having such an impact on the world, that fascinates me. Capturing them in digital form, allows me to preserve a tiny bit of their legacy, and share it with my kids.

I love taking pictures of bees on flowers (Photography) Aside from my kids, bees are hands down my favorite things to take pictures of. Beautiful flower in a fire fighters boot is amazing One of the last times I was taking pictures at the park, we noticed something new. Someone had placed a fire fighter boot into the garden. Inside the fire fighter boot was this beautiful flower. As someone who was a fire medic for a long time, I thought this was really cool.

My pit bull viciously attacking my leg proves stereotype Maggie is our ten-year-old English Staffy. She's more commonly referred to as a pit bull. This breed gets an absolutely horrible rap because some of these dogs have assholes for owners. Any dog with an asshole for an owner can end up violent. Maggie is the absolute most gentle dog I've ever met in my life. She shares her kennel with one of our cats, cause she feels safe with Maggie. Our ferrets love Maggie as well. She's so gentle with them, as they pounce on her from all directions. Maggie proves the stereotype people apply to pit bulls, wrong.
