About a week ago, Elliott began taking Abilify at night.  Today he begins taking it morning and night.  This is a low dose and because of the sleepiness, we started at night and worked up to twice a day. 

The change in him has been pretty dramatic.  He’s mellowed out a great deal. 

He’s no longer going into these emotional rages. 

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that he’s actually happier as well.  His anxiety has improved and he’s not constantly worrying about everything like he has been for so long now. 

Elliott doesn’t even fight taking his meds either and that’s truly awesome.  I think that he recognizes that this medication is actually helping him and so he’s willing to take it. 

I’m so incredibly grateful for this because he’s been miserable for so long.  This is awesome…. Simply awesome…
