It’s a vicious cycle

It was a long night. Elliott did manage to fall asleep and the meds really helped him to get some rest. Emmett on the other hand, sounds absolutely awful now. He went from starting to get sick to struggling not to choke on all the gunk in a very short time.

It’s like someone flipped a switch about 10PM and made his sick.

I can’t see either one of the boys making it to school tomorrow. First thing in the morning, I’m going to call Akron Kids and get them in.

The goal for today is to keep them comfortable, resting and hydrated. Outside of that, there isn’t much I can do.

I have 5 articles I have to write before tomorrow and the kids being sick has made that more challenging. These jobs are financing Christmas, so they’re very important. Not sleeping is making it harder to think and that makes it harder to write, even when I have the time to do so. It’s a vicious cycle.

The good news is that the boys are in decent moods and that’s fantastic. Hopefully, I can keep them distracted today and we can keep things nice and calm.

Only thing more miserable than having one really sick kid, is having 2 (or more) sick at the same time. Be well, guys!
