There’s good news and there’s bad news

The good news is that Emmett and Elliott are both at school.  They both did really well this morning and I’m both grateful and proud.

This has made the rest of the day possible.

The bad news is that Mr. Gavin is getting sick.  Since he’s been on IVIG, I can count on one hand with fingers left over, how many times he’s been sick.

If I remember correctly, this is maybe the 2nd or 3rd time in the last 4 years or so.

At this point, it appears to be nothing more than a cold, headache and some congestion, so we’re going to move forward with therapy.

He says he’s fine and wants to go forward with the day but I don’t know if that’s because he truly feels fine or if the idea of disrupting his routine is worse for him than he’s currently feeling…..  If that make sense?

Having said that, I’m going to have to watch him very closely because with his immune system severely compromised and being that he also has asthma, I have to be very careful with him.

He just had his IVIG infusion yesterday and so I’m a bit surprised that he woke up like this today like this but he is allowed to be sick.

Like I said, I’ll need to keep a close eye on him but to be completely honest, I’m really uncomfortable with him being sick at all.
