I’m sorting out our schedule this week and realized that this is not going to be very Autism friendly. In fact, it’s very much a the perfect storm of sorts in regards to meltdowns.
Tuesday will bring with it a disruption in Emmett’s routine. His OT is on vacation this week and so he’s going to miss his session. I know he’s missed some when he was sick and that bothered him but he was sick, so it went over a little better. When the therapist cancels it another story.
Wednesday, we have to get Gavin to the Cleveland Clinic to meet with his autonomic specialist.
It’s a long drive and I might not have a sitter for the E’s. Taking them along for the ride, even with Lizze there, is a big fat no bueno.. It’s also more expensive because we will be there over the dinner hour..
On Thursday, Emmett will be back at the dentist to fix his cavities. This is going to require two, possibly three metal caps. That’s not going to be a whole lot of fun, for anyone.
I’m not dwelling on the negative here but rather trying to prepare myself for the inevitable.
It’s going to be a really, Really, REALLY long week.
