One of the things I’ve learned over the last 25 years of raising my three autistic kids is that there is no one harder on me than me. And I know that holds true for a lot of parents raising autistic kids. So we don’t need the world’s judgment because we’re already harder on ourselves than anyone else ever could be. Please be kind. 🫶❤️ I’m thinking about doing a limited podcast series where I invite families on to share their autism parenting stories. The goal would be to highlight what life looks like for parents raising kids with autism Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 autism. The purpose would be to help families feel seen and heard. For example. Learning more about what an average day for parent with a Level 3 kid looks like so we can all better understand each other’s experiences. The first step in being able to address a problem and get people on the same page is to find common ground. And one of the best ways to find common ground is to just have a conversation and start talking and listening.
