Gavin’s off to school

Gavin had a pretty decent morning today. We had a little trouble putting on clean clothes. He can’t tell the difference between clean and dirty clothes. He wipes his nose all over his shirts. Even though it’s painfully obvious to most that the shirt is dirty and should probably be burned he can’t tell.

Hopefully he will have an ok day today at school. The past few days have been good for him so here’s to hoping.

Hurray for a good morning! I know how satisfying that feels to send kids off to school without incident. Mon and Tuesday were good mornings for Matt. Today….not so much. I cannot believe the amount of emotional and mental energy that kid is able to suck out of me in such a short period of time! He was at me this morning because the Father Time had the audacity to say it's 7:00 and Matt has to catch the bus at 7:00. But Matt wanted to play with his toy horse instead. So on the way out the bus stop he kicked my car, slapped my mailbox, and threatened to run out into the street. He doesn't usually do the run-out-in-the-street thing because I give such a little reaction to it. I just say "I hope the police don't see you doing that. They will be upset". He cares more about what the police think than what I think. I wanrned his teachers of his mood and they just sent me an email saying "He's having a great day"! figures!
