Eyes wide shut

Elliott was up all night. Lizze and I traded off about 4am. Lizze woke up about 4am in tears because she was in so much pain.

She ended up going downstairs to chill on the couch with Elliott, who still wouldn’t go back to sleep.

I was able to grab a few hours of sleep before returning to the fight,  so to speak.

This was a rough night for almost everyone.  At least it wasn’t a school night.

I remember Elliot takes Guanfacine, like my oldest son. Can you give it to him at night with your pediatrician's blessing? My son took it last night and actually slept through the night! He never does that. Many docs will prescribe Clonidine for sleep, which is similar to Guanfacine but stronger. It may be a tool you can use when the melatonin is not doing the trick.
I am sorry to hear about the sleep issues. I hope tomorrow night is better.

Have you ever tried epsom salt bath soaks for Elliott? It's one of the best ways to absorb magnesium and has a very calming affect. We use this along with Hyland's brand Calm's Forte tabs. Both seem to work very well for sleep! I hope tonight is a better night!
