I thought it would be interesting to share some of our New Year’s Resolutions for 2013. I used to try to do something really grand or profound.  However, I discovered that I would better off being realistic.

I try to underpromise and overdeliver.

So what’s you New Year’s Resolution for this year?

I’m going to resolve to take better care of myself this year, both for my sanity and my physical health, including getting myself back in shape and getting rid of the 40 pounds I’ve gained back in the past year and a half.  I give so much to everyone else while neglecting myself, so this year I’m going to strive to put aside time for ME and hopefully do some nice art pieces, writing, and other creative projects.
Also, this from a Facebook share so I can not be miserable next year about the stuff I didn’t do and can reflect on my victories:
“This January, why not start the year with an empty jar and fill it with notes about good things that happen.  Then, on New Years Eve, empty it and see what awesome stuff happened that year.”

I am not making any resolutions  this year, they never stick anyway. I am following the advice of a fellow blogger and just striving my best to make each and every moment count in 2013! Happy New Year!

@elizabethtaylor202One of my New Years Resolution is to watch the portions of what I’m eating. I think that it’s a reasonable approach to eating better and a good place to start.
