I thought this was really cool and so I thought I would share this with you. Emmett, as you are probably aware, is significantly developmentally delayed with a severe language and speech delay as well. The other day while we were are Akron children’s hospital, Emmett started naming the letters on this sign. I was is shock at first. This video shows the 2nd time he was doing this and it wasn’t nearly as good as the 1st time but he is naming his letters and he just turned 3 a few weeks ago.

I think this has alot to do with him using his Android4Autism device and the learning apps installed on it. Just for fun today, I loaded up a blank Word document onto the TV and started typing random capital letters. Emmett was correct at least 90% of the time. I think that’s amazing and that fills me with hope.

He doesn’t recognize lower case letters yet but I think this is HUGE progress and I’ll gladly take it.

In the video below, I started recording Emmett naming the letters on this sign. I came in late and so I missed the most of it but you will hear him call out a few of the letters. By this time Emmett had started to get a bit goofy and so the first time was much more accurate but I’m still quite proud.
