We’re on a victory roll

I meant to share this the other day but with the new Gavin crisis it got lost in the shuffle. So here it is. Lizze has a thing for pens. She has hundreds of pens and markers. Each one has a special purpose. Anyway, she has this one pen with little post-its built. They are basically little strips of paper.
Emmett got a hold of it and started pulling out the paper. When I caught him I got it away from him so he didn’t waste the paper. If I had realized what he was doing I would have let it go.
As it turns out, Emmett was using the little post-it strips to spell out his name. When I took the pen away he got upset and wiped most of it off the table. When I realized what he was actually doing I wanted to kick myself for stopping him.
I got a picture of what was left on the table. You can see the two T’s still there but the rest was in the floor. Why is this impressive? Well Emmett just turned 3 in June. This goes to show his how much progress he has made in a very short amount of time. Also, how many 3 year olds can not only spell their name but use strips of paper to spell it out on a table?
I just pray that we can work through the language and speech barriers so he can communicate all the things going on inside his head with the rest of the world.
Way to go Emmett…..

Tired Mom

How awesome was that?! So cool that he was doing that; my five year old does that NOW but never did that at 3 yrs. Maybe it's time to invest in a Magna Doodle if you don't have one, or we could keep going with the paper route =)

Perhaps he inherrited someone's writing gene?? ๐Ÿ˜‰ (I know she suffers from writers block often but we really know who loves to write ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) Perhaps THAT will be your way through the language/speech barrier? ๐Ÿ™‚
