Not that you going to need any extra guesses. However,  I’ll give you 3 guesses who is running a fever again.

Take your time..   Give up?  Emmett.

Emmett woke up from his nap this afternoon and his little cheeks are beet red.  I gave him some time to adjust to the temperature of the room after being under a blanket for a couple hours.

Nothing changed after an hour or so.  I took his temp and he’s approaching 100°F. 

It’s not a really big deal,  as many doctors don’t consider that a fever.  However,  in Emmett’s case,  he’s either getting sick or hitting yet another fever flare. 

Thankfully,  the surgery last year,  did help to reduce the intensity of the fevers.  He used to hit 104-105°F and it would last for 10 days.  Now he typically only hits 100-101°F. However,  the cycles are more frequent and the cold sores get much worse.

All we can do is make him comfortable and keep him hydrated. We’ll probably call the pediatrician in the morning just to be safe.

If this is all part of the same cycle than this the longest period of time a cycle has lasted.  If he’s starting a new cycle,  than this is the shortest period of time between cycles we have experienced thus far.

Either way,  we just want to make sure he’s okay.
