Finally

I got up at 4:30am with Mr. Emmett John.  He’s been getting up pretty early anymore. Shortly after,  Elliott woke up as well.

I brought the boys downstairs so that Lizze could sleep.  She does that for me all the time and I wanted to return the favor.

For the first time in at east a few days, Elliott and Emmett finally got along.

I don’t know what’s changed to allow for their kindness towards each other today. Maybe they were simply too tired to bicker back and forth.  Who the hell knows.

I’m hoping that this will be a trend going forward.

Hi Rob, If my kid was waking at 4 (or 430 or even 5) the 1st thing I would look at is their nap. To me, it's odd that a 4+ year old still naps (with the help of allergy medicine, of course he will sleep). Let alone a 6 year old. Most kids drop their naps – unless they are sick – by age 3. I would look at this as the likely culprit for these early morning wake-ups. Try skipping the nap!

@Sarah you make a really good point. The problem is that if he misses his nap, he's impossible for the rest of the day.
We have tried skipping the naps but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Also typically he sleeps till 6am. The last few days have been off schedule for him.
