Morning Meltdowns

It’s 9:30 am and we have already had a 30 minute meltdown. To be honest, I don’t even know why it happened.

All I know for sure is that Elliott is having a rough morning.

Apparently, Elliott was up pretty late last night.  He was having a hard time sleeping, so he was watching cartoons and just resting.  This is pretty unusual for Elliott.

I don’t know why he’s having such a rough time lately. Dr. Patti, Lizze and I have a theory but I’ll share that later. Right now, I’m just hoping that everything settles down today and we can have a relaxing weekend.

Both my PANDAS kiddos are melting down (and obsessing) alot lately as well. Their allergies are also kicking up, and from what our doctor has told us, histamine can cross over into the brain (cross the blood brain barrier) and cause alot of issues (including behavioral and fatigue, etc). I have been using claritin with the really allergic one and lots of vitamin C. It seems to help get him through the school day without incident, at least. Another thing I have been told is that using a histamine reducer  like Pepcid AC can work wonders on some kids with behavior issues. I have never tried it though, but heard a few parents (of PANDAS kids) swear by it.
