Update on Lizze’s health

Lizze is really, really not doing well today.  I don’t often focus on her health but I think I will try to keep everyone updated. For one thing, people are always asking and Lizze has had a harder time keeping up with her blog lately as her health gets worse.

Anyway, she’s not been sleeping well at all.

Between the temperature change, the hot flashes, stomach problems and her ever present, unrelenting migraine, she doesn’t sleep well at night.

For some reason the hot flashes are worse at night.

We’re hoping that by the end of the month we will have a better understanding of her gastroparesis and perhaps a treatment plan.  This could provide a dramatic improvement to her quality of life.

She finally fell asleep about an hour ago or at least went to lay down.

The kids are still in Cleveland and having a good time.
I was able to get a nap this morning so I’m feeling pretty refreshed.

AutismAdventure amen… I totally agree.  Well said.

I am really hoping for her that the celiac biopsy comes back positive. Some people may not understand that but as someone who suffers chronic pain and fatigue as well, answers and possible treatment are always a relief.  I have multiple undiagnosed symptoms also. I was talking with a friend at church this morning who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (I also have it) and her symptoms keep getting worse while all her tests come back normal.  I explained the situation your wife is in and we both agreed that a diagnosis of celiac would be a relief for either of us because we could do something about that.

elizabethtaylor202 she’s in menopause now and is receiving hormone replacement therapy.  🙁  She has a hysterectomy a couple of years ago but they left her ovaries.  She being treated at the Cleveland Clinic.  Menopause does not look like a pleasant experience.  🙁

Hot flashes, especially at night are a sign of hormonal imbalance. If something is wacky in her brain chemistry (which could be likely because of the migraines) then it could be throwing her into early menopause – that’s one of the first symptoms.
