Who cares if he lines up all the cars?

I’m sure many of you have seen things like this in your own home. 🙂

I’m not sure that I need to say anything else. I guess I could be sarcastic, and say something like, Emmett have #Autism?  I have no idea what you are talking about. 🙂

Finally,  to anyone that would have a problem with what he is doing,  I have to ask.  Who cares if he lines up all the cars? I don’t.  He’s not hurting anyone and he’s enjoying himself.

I’m proud of who he is and I love him.  I made the choice,  a long time ago,  to help him any way that I can but also to let me be,  who he is.

My son will still do this once in awhile with his cars too. He actually used to make some really cool geometric designs with them as well. I still have them on my cellphone.  If he has fun and it makes him feel calmer, then more power to him. Looks like Emmett is just recreating a traffic jam.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about!?! I wish I could post the pic but it won't let me copy and paste but my son can spend a half hour lining up cars end to end. He runs all through the house finding them almost like a savenger hunt and they can easliy span the length of our home which is 70 feet long maybe even twice. God forbid someone knocks one out of line. He has not been diagnosed and I believe is relatively neurotypical but then I wonder if some of the behaviors he exhibits is copying from his sister or maybe an upcoming diagnosis

I used to do this with thigns all the time. I also stacked things a lot. If we went into a restaurant I always had to stack the jelly containers and the coffee creamers. I had my bath toys lined up along the wall or on the edge of the tub, and I had all my plushies lined up along the edge of my bed too. I still do it out of habit when I'm not thinking.

@Silachan my kids have been known to do that as well.

I loved lined-up cars! Sometimes they lined up on the couch, making it hard to sit!  Sometimes they snaked all over the living and dining rooms. Years and years of lined up cars!  Perfectly harmless, unless you step on one!
