I fear that we are going to have to skip trick or treat this year. It’s only 40°F, windy and it’s raining.  The boys will be so incredibly disappointed but we’re concerned about their wellbeing.

Assuming my paycheck cleared today, which it hasn’t, we were going to take the boys to Chuck E Cheeses.

However, perhaps we will have to try later on this week.

There has to be a point where you draw the line when it comes between safety and fun.

Do you have an idea of where you would draw the line? Has weather conditions every caused you to have to cancel trick or treating for your kids?

@Amy what a great idea. Thanks. I'm gonna look into that today. 🙂

We haven't missed Halloween yet, but we do make adaptions.  Where I live, a lot of the churches do Trunk or Treating in the parking lots so that when it's cold kids can go from car to car (parked next to each other) instead of walking house to house.    This year, because of the storm warnings, we will be doing a mall trick or treating so it's indoors, warm, and we wont have to worry so much about rain… but either way my son can still dress up and have a little fun.
