Please keep Lizze in your thoughts

I posted something on Lizze’s blog earlier about this and I wanted to say something here as well.

I’m asking that you please keep Lizze in your thoughts and prayers. She’s not doing well emotionally or physically. To be completely honest, I’ve never seen her this bad.

Her pain is absolutely out of control and there is nothing we can do.

I left a message for the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program and I’m waiting to hear back. At the moment, the program is open to her however, we are still waiting on insurance to approve or deny coverage for this program.

I’m to the point where I willing to explore other options while we wait to find out from insurance.

I’m kicking around a few ideas but I don’t know if they would make any difference.

I’ve thought about seeing if her neurologist could simply admit her to the hospital, even locally. She could get a full work up done and see if they can somehow break this migraine.

Another option would be another Headache Infusion, possibly in conjunction with Botox.

The Cleveland Clinic said they would likely need to do at least one headache infusion at the beginning of the program, in order to break the migraine.

I truly don’t know what to do.

I mean, how long can one person live in this much pain?

Her doctors have already said that they don’t know how she managing this. They’ve not seen anyone that has been in this much pain and not be addicted to pain medications. Lizze hates taking her pain medications.

If we could break this particular migraine, that would be huge.

She can deal with the migraines as they come and go. However, this migraine showed up at her door about 13 months ago and has been unwilling to leave.

I feel like a huge portion of this is related to the amount of stress she’s constantly under. Her body has just turned on her and is unable to physically handle things anymore.

If stress is truly a huge part of this, I’m concerned that until she gets her stress levels under control, there’s not much hope of relief.

I would do anything to help her find relief from her pain.

Monday morning I will be calling the Cleveland Clinic again to find out what’s going on with her status. She needs into this program. I’ll likely have to drive her back and forth to Cleveland, five days a week, but it’s absolutely worth it.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We need all the positive thoughts we can get.

Thank you. 🙂

Good luck. That program was a lifesaver for me, literally.

Praying for you all – it so hard to see someone you love in pain, much less be the person in pain … we'll keep praying.
