Hey everyone,

I wanted to give you a head up because I’m forced to changed to a new server.  Right now I’m on a shared server and I’m being constantly throttled. That means that my site uses more than 7% of the available CPU power, my site comes to a crawl until my usage drops. 

This is related to the traffic or so I’m being told. 

I will be moving to a VPS or Virtual Private Server.  This will give me the head room that I need to continue growing. The next steps would be a dedicated server but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. 

It’s always nice to hear that your site is getting much traffic for the server your currently on.  It means that tons of people find value in what I’m doing. 

The down side is that the costs essentially double. At this point, the costs to physically host Lost and Tired has gone from $30 to $60/month.  When I upgrade, the host refunds me what left on my account and so that will basically cover the majority of the next 3 months. 

Anyway, the migration shouldn’t take more than an hour or so but you may experience some down time. 

I’m aware that there will be some interruption today while the process is finishing up.  DNS propagation shouldn’t take too long but it may be best to clear your browser cache to delete any cookies associated with this site. 

This is really good news, aside from the additional cost but I will have 3 months to figure that out. 

This site is managed almost exclusively via WordPress for Android. Please forgive any typos as autocorrect HATES me. 😉
