Our next step is to get him to his rheumatologist. It's possible that we could be looking at Fibromyalgia, as it's not unheard of in children and certainly more common than just about anything else he's already got going on
I've spent the last few days revitalizing my site and making it more esthetically pleasing and user friendly. Several changes have taken place, both on the back end and front end.
Today's been one of missing sleep. Lizze and I are really, really tired and boys are really, really full of energy. This is not a good match right now but we are making it work..
It matters not, whether the excitement be of a positive or negative nature. Kids with mental health issues like Gavin, can and often will, decompensate under these circumstances. We've seen it happen countless times with Gavin and to be honest, with his health issues so significant, we sometimes forget the fine line he walks emotionally.
We've been working with Gavin on noticing things on his body that require maintenence and then addressing it, without having to be asked or reminded. An example of this would be trimming his finger nails.
Lost and Tired will be undergoing maintenance for the next couple of days. I will likely not be posting anything until it's completed. The site may look strange as it's being worked on but it should still be usable. Also, I'm moving to the Disqus Commenting System, at least until LiveFyre is working again with my mobile theme. Your comments have not been lost. However, they aren't showing up in Disqus just yet. New comments work fine but I'm having issues with the sync between Disqus and WP Comment's database. I should have that resolved in the coming weeks. Once fixed, all previous comments will return. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you for your patience and support. Merry Christmas Rob Gorski
I don't know about your Autism household but I swear to God that we have lost the ability to use our inside voices. It leaves me wondering, where have all the inside voices gone?
