It's been a really long time since I've updated you on Operation Hope. For those of you new to Lost and Tired and our story, Operation Hope is what I've dubbed our quest to find answers to Gavin's fragile health. One of my absolute favorite things in the world to do is hang out with my boys.  This morning I was laying on the couch because I'm still in a great deal of pain. The boys decided that they wanted to help me feel better.  Their way of making me feel better is to pile on top of me and snuggle.  This was incredibly painful, especially because they can't seem to sit still.  Having said that, I would happily endure that, over and over again because I love to snuggle with my boys.  Further more, I love that they are able to show compassion, even if they don't fully understand what's going on.  One of the things that I have tried to show them is that as human beings, we…

I woke up today and was actually able to get myself dressed.  Perhaps I have have my expectations set incredibly, but I'm pretty darn excited. Earlier this week, I irritated an old back injury and left myself completely incapacitated. Over the past couple of days, Elliott has developed a really nasty cough.  We've even had to break out his rescue inhaler today.  We've been told that we need to give him his rescue inhaler when he develops a cough.  The good news is that besides being a cranky, his lung sounds are really clear and the cough seems to be caused by post nasal drip.  We are having him take it easy and rest but I think this may be more allergy related than actual illness.  He's actually sleeping quite soundly right now and I hope that carries through the night.  With any luck (and some Benadryl) he'll be feeling better in the morning.  This site is managed almost exclusively from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Please forgive any typos…

We are really quite lucky to have such amazing and supportive parents.  Our parents help out in different ways and all of which are beyond appreciated.
