terrible, horrible, no good very bad day!!!

This day has gone on forever. It was crappy to start with and it ended crappy. All three of the kids are sick, Elliott Richard and Emmett John have puked at least 2 times each today. Gavin is being weird even for Gavin. This doesn’t make me feel good about the upcoming weekend.

Lizze and I are both stressed to the max. We are both grouchy and irritable. Not a good combination right now. I hate the tension in this house. Something has got to give and give soon. I don’t know how much more we can go through. We are both at our breaking point.

We are both tired of waiting for Emmett John’s ABR test that’s scheduled for this Monday. The past 3 months wait has been killing us. We will find out for sure Monday if Emmett John can or cannot hear. At this point I have no idea what is going on with him. I just want to find out so we can finally move forward again.

I feel like we have been stuck in this rut forever now and can’t seem to get any traction. Lizze and I both do our best but it just never seems to be enough.

  1. I felt sorry for your kids. Hope that they will get better really soon. It's really depressing for us parents to see our kids got sick.

    1. Thank you for your thoughts. I'm really hoping they get better soon.

  2. Oh this is sooo not what you guys need right now! I am so sorry. Especially all 3 at the same time! I know you must feel that you've just taken several leaps backwards when on all the other days, you guys are just trying to survive. I have not had both kids sick at the same time in a long while but I know when Matt is sick….like flu sick…..thats when I can actually relax and know that nothing will get broken during the day. But if he just feels a little sick……yikes! He's cranky and mad as hell!

John calls that "rut" that we are stuck in "groundhogs day". Every day for the past year and a half is groundhogs day. "not really moving forward……just surviving". You know way more about the meds than I do but one thing I remember the psychiatrist telling me was that she said that some medications actually aren't shown to work as well on children as they do on teenagers and adults. But she was talking about anti-anxiety meds and anti-psychotics too. She suggested that maybe by the time Matt was a teenager "things might improve because the meds will be more effective" I don't know if she was just saying that to offer me up some hope or what. I hope they find the right combo for Gavin and fast. I forgot that these kids tend to go through puberty at an earlier age than typical. Is that an insult to injury or what? You are all in my thoughts and prayers tonight!!!

John doesn't write, but I keep him posted on your family.

    1. Thank you kindly. 😉
