It’s just keeps coming….

So last night I left to go pick up Gavin and Lizze's meds. Driving down the road I noticed the van pulling sharply to the right. I figured it must be the snow on the road and didn't think much of it. However, it was still pulling when I hit the main roads. I pulled over and got out to look and sure enough I was driving on the rim. I slowly made my way back home as I was only 1 block from my house. I went in the house to grab the compressor and broke the attachment I needed to fill the tire. I searched for 20 min and fund the old one and went out to fill the tire. My guess is that the tire is of…

When it rains it pours…..

We have been in our house for about 7 years and for 7 years the roof has leaked.  3 years ago we put a $35,000 NEW roof on our house after we took storm damage. For 3 years now our roof has leaked. It's destroyed what used to be my office...and then the kids playroom. We even had new gutters and downspouts put on and still the roof is leaking. I was sitting here writing and I began to hear that familiar sound of water hitting the carpet. I just can't seem to win. I. Just went out and removed snow from the roof and hopefully that will slow things down. Posted via midNIGHT powered Epic 4G by lost and tired

@SamsungMobileUS’s Epic 4G and Autism: Bridging the gap

Going into this it sounds like a plug and I guess in some ways it is. But I truly am doing this and it is helping. So I thought I would share and maybe it could help someone else. I may be partial to the Samsung Epic 4G if haven't already noticed. There is a really good reason for that. Besides the phone being one (if not the best) of the best smartphones on the planet currently it has also heped bridge the communication gap between me and Emmett. I use a program called Voice4u to help Emmett communicate with us. The app is available on the Android Market. Basically it allows me to take pictures of people, places and things. I then put the pictures in a catagory an…

PLEASE HELP. I really need advice……

I really need some advise. Emmett is hurting Elliott and I don't know how to stop it. Emmett is basically 10 months old developmentally so addressing this is tricky. Elliott was attacked again today by Emmett. Emmett did some damage and Elliott is now in a lot of pain and his anxiety is through the roof. I am so tired of this happening and not knowing what to do about it. We can't seem to find any answers... What do you guys do (other the spanking or hitting) to discourage this behavior? Please help. I'm desperate and need this to stop. Posted via midNIGHT powered Epic 4G by lost and tired

The secret to my “super powers”

Many have asked me "Rob, how do yout do it?". That a complicated answer but in a nutshell, smoothie's.... I drink two of these badboys a day.... It's the "Lost and Tired" smoothie (patent pending)  ;-) What's that you say, you want my super secret recipe? No way, it's super secret. Don't give me that face...sigh.. Fine, I'll tell you... Seriously though I hate veggies so the best way to make sure I get them is to make a smoothie.  It works and actually tastes good, it may look like "shit" (Jen that ones for you, your right it does feel good) and let's be honest it does but it's good. So here is my super secret recipe: 1 cup baby spinach 1 cup kale 1/2 cup blueberries 3 medium…

To stressed out to write…..

Lately I have been slacking off on the blog. I usually post a few time a day but lately things have just been to bad. Elliott is starting to show signs of ADHD. Although it could (and hopefully is) anxiety. Emmett is completely out of control and becoming more and more dangerous to himself. Gavin is doing ok for the most part but still struggling. Lizze is slowly recovering. She is in a lot of pain all the time. My back is completely out. I haven't been able to get away and walk for 6 months now.  I was walking 30 miles a week and my back was doing much better. Now it's broken again. I'm beginning to crack under all the pressure. I am so completely worried about everything. …
