I was wondering how your kids held up this Christmas? Did you see any meltdowns or overstimulation? If you could do it over again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything you did this holiday season?? Will you be doing anything differently next year?

@textbookmommy @lost_and_tired spent so much less and didn’t cook this year, went to family’s house. the kids were still so thankful.
It went very well. Ethan loves to open presents. I believe he is more excited to unwrap them than for what's inside. We take turns by age at our house and, overall, it goes pretty well. When we get together with my wife's parents and there families it takes a little more time but as long as we hand him the presents he will wait fairly well. My wife is also good about letting him open her presents as well. Once in a great while he will open someone else's present when no ones looking but it's all good. We rarely change anything from year to year.
We had each kids open presents separately… while one was in the bath, one opened, etc for all three kids 🙂 worked WONDERFULLY… not commotion or getting distracted… best Christmas yet 🙂
