I’ve been trying to focus on myself this year. The idea is that I need to build myself back up after the events that changed my life forever and had me questioning my value.
Part of this goal is to get back in shape.
I need to loose weight but I want to do it in a reasonable way that I can keep up with. Rapid weight loss isn’t always a good thing and I’m willing to take the time to do this right.
To do this right, I need to get back into strength training, watch my diet and mix in some cardio.
Getting more sleep is important as well but that’s going to be a work in progress.
Last night I finally dug my exercise equipment out of the back room and this morning I used it.
Holy shit did it feel good to get back at it.
I’m going to ease my way back into a regular workout schedule but for today, I reacquainted myself with this long forgotten machine.
I truly prefer free weights but in their absence, I’m going to use what’s at my disposal.
For now, I feel like I’ve taken a big step forward. My equipment is on the older side and pieces are missing but it will serve it’s purpose for now.. ☺
