I picked up the boys from school and was happy to hear that everyone had a good day.  This year, the school is using a point system for behavioral problems.  Elliott and Gavin, each Lost one point today.  Gavin got frustrated in math class but Elliott was unable to remember why he lost a point. I wanted to share an auction I've listed on eBay to help with getting out hest turned back on before it gets cold out. This auction is for a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I bought this with a Best Buy gift card, with the intention to stick if right up on eBay and sell it for cash.  I figured this was easier than trying to sell the gift card itself. I'm pleased to share that the boys have gotten off to school without a problem.  The school lunch is our only hiccup at this time.  Elliott and Emmett will not eat what is being served today and we are currently out of sandwich bags.  We assured the boys that we will get bags and drop their lunches off to them later this morning. This is an otherwise good start to the day. As we begin the second week of school today, we also begin a busy week. After I get the boys to school today, I have to continue working on arrangements to get Gavin out to John's Hopkins ASAP. Tuesday morning, I will be taking Gavin to Akron Children's Hospital for September's IVIG Infusion. Tuesday also brings with it the return of OT for Elliott, followed closely by OT, PT and Speech for Emmett and Gavin both..hopefully anyway. Lizze has 2 appointments as well. With any luck, the week will be kind and everything will go off without a hitch. The biggest concern I have for this week is how Gavin will react to the IVIG Infusion since his most recent crisis. Let me start by saying that I'm very grateful for everyone's concern.  I think that it says a lot about our community when other wise strangers, can relate enough to someone's life that they show compassion, worry and understanding. Having said that, there are a few things that I need to clarify because there seems to be some confusion. There are two reoccurring events every day that I dread.  Feeding my kids with Autism, lunch and dinner. In reality, I should say attempting to feed my kids with Autism, lunch and dinner.  Why not breakfast? Simple.  It's easier to find one or two cereals that aren't sensory offensive. My kids would be happy with eating dry Ramon Noodles for every meal, every single day. While it's true that I can always fall back on that, as their father, I'm always trying to encourage healthy eating habits. At the very least, I wish that I could expand upon my options or rather their options.  In other words, I wish that I could find more foods that they are okay with and willing to eat.
