The boys are gone and the car is fixed. These are all good things. I love the boys but a break is never a bad thing and it actually gives Lizze and I time to ourselves.
One of the things the we have both learned from our time apart is that we have to make sure we spend time together. We need to focus on ourselves, so we can be better for our kids.
We didn’t do anything spectacular but we shared a pizza and watched some Hell’s Kitchen on Hulu.
Lizze and I have never really been into fancier things or even expensive date nights. It’s not always about what you’re doing or where your going but rather the company you have with you.
It was a relaxing evening and I’m looking forward to sleeping through the night for the first time in awhile. We can sleep in for a little while in a the morning but have somewhere to be midmorning.
In review, it’s been a really nice evening. My amazing Dad helped fix the car. Lizze and I had pizza and Hell’s Kitchen tonight. I’m nothing but grateful for all the positives in my life today.
