I feel grateful for all I have

The kids went to school without any problems. That’s always a good thing. I’m not a huge fan of having to make multiple trips but it is what it is. I had to drop Emmett off a bit early because Gavin had a follow-up with neurology at the Cleveland Clinic. Thankfully, this was a telehealth appointment, so I didn’t have to drive.

This was an appointment to discuss slowly getting Gavin off of his autonomic medications. There’s a good chance he’s outgrown some, if not all of these autonomic related problems.

We have to be very careful and make these changes slowly, over time. It’s going to be a work in progress but he’s got this. The fewer meds the better.

After his appointment I hit the gym. It’s my second time back since surgery and it feels so good. I’m still limited to the treadmill for now but I look forward to hitting the ground running next week. Stitches come out in seven days and I’m excited. I’m a little sore but nothing major.

It’s frustrating to be limited right now but it’s totally worth it and I’ve been able to really focus on work. I hosted my second interview after switching platforms and it’s amazing. It’s a bit more expensive but the audio quality improvements are astonishing. Remote interviews are historically at the mercy of your internet connection. Poor connections lead to distortion, breakup, and an otherwise less than ideal listening experience..

The quality on my end is studio quality because I’m recording locally through professional equipment. Going forward, the audio quality for my guests will sound so much better. It’s almost like having them in the same room. I’m totally nerding out over this but I’m excited. ☺

I’m finishing up this week’s release and should be done by tomorrow. That feels so good.

I mentioned in the previous post that I’m feeling grateful for everything I have. There are opportunities that are open to me that are very positive and I’m so lucky to be where I am. I had a fantastic conversation on the pod today about IEP’s. Hopefully, it’s helpful to the parents out there trying to navigate these often stressful meetings.

Anyway, I’ve been really productive today and I feel great. Still a bit tired but nothing a power nap won’t fix. ☺
