A quick update about my week

It’s been a good week so far. Elliott is on spring break and has been spending time with friends. He’s doing well in regards to the change of schools, and has made a few friends already. He’s even spending time outside of school with skme of them and that makes me feel good.

Emmett is neck deep in state testing this week and seems to be coping with that stress pretty well. This morning I took him to Starbucks on the way to school. He went in all by himself, ordered his coffee, and some breakfast.

I’m so proud of him. He did fantastic and I just wanted to do something special before state testing today. He went to school happy and ready to tackle the test.

My day is jam packed with shit that needs to get done. I’ve got some work that needs done before I can do anything else. There’s a few deadlines and I’m getting some invoicing done.

At noon, I’m renting a box truck to pickup our furniture and bring it home. Not sure how well this is going to go but I need to keep making progress and this is progress.

I have to get all this done before Emmett needs picked up from school at 3pm. Then I have to take the car into the shop to get some work done on it before my family goes bowling tonight. I’m really looking forward to that because we always have so much fun.

I have a meeting to prep for tomorrow and on Saturday morning, I’ve been asked by the health department to speak about the importance of vaccines. They’re trying to get more people to take the covid vaccine and asked for my help. Great cause and I’m a sucker for a great cause. It’s only an hour of my time and I’m happy to help.

I think we’re also planning on taking the family hiking this weekend as well. Probably Sunday because it’s not supposed to rain.

My life hasn’t been easy and raising three autistic kiddos on my own hasn’t been either. I feel like life is coming together and I’m so grateful for that. Work is good, business is growing, the house is coming along, and I’m lucky to have the people in my life that I do.

Also, I welcomed a new member to our family yesterday. It’s a new plant and I love it. I’m pretty much becoming obsessed with plants and I may or may not have a problem. Lol

It’s a Ponytail Palm or Palm Ponytail, I can’t remember. I repotted it last night and it’s doing great. Plants seem to bring life to the house and I like having them around. ☺

Hope you’re having a good week.

Wow, wow and WOW!! To see how far these kids have come is amazing. Emmett from being sensory food orientated and having nightmares and melt downs to going into Starbucks by him self and ordering what he wants. Great job!!

Could you come to Seattle and Organize my life next? Thank in advance! P.S. I love the part about ordering his own Starbucks by himself. It’s a religion here. Nothing before Coffee!

I’m glad things are going so well for your family, Rob. Seems like for several years there was a huge struggle every minute of every day. So seeing things go forward more smoothly is great, and your sons’ lives improving is only good.
