So I noticed something peculiar about Gavin the other day. Every location Gavin was at, he left his mark.  I didn't notice it at first and by the time that I noticed it, I only got these two pictures. Gavin's leaving the words Sonic X  somewhere, wherever he goes. It's like he's tagging his territory  or something.  :-) I'm going to be paying closer attention while I'm with him to see if this was a one day occurrence or if there is more going on. He's not hurting anyone and I just find this fascinating.  I'm not even sure if he realized he did this.  Any of your kids do something like this? OMG, today have been a trying day.  As you know, Lizze had her appointment with Orthopedics at the Cleveland Clinic this afternoon.  She's been having problems with her knees for many years, steaming from a major injury during years as a gymnast.  We are in desperate need of a break from bad news.  It's kinda like bad news and good news are divorced parents that can't seem to ever come to terms with anything.  They completely ignore the visitation schedule that states that we want to see the good news along with the bad. It feels like life is conspiring against us anymore. We left for Lizze's appointment with orthopedics at the Cleveland Clinic in more than enough time to get there. However, it took us a good 30 minutes just to get outside of Canton.  Traffic on 77 N, the main interstate in Northeast Ohio, was completely backed up and we couldn't even get to the on ramp. I had to take a bunch of back roads and get out of the city before trying to jump on 77 N a few miles down the road. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only one to come up with this brilliant plan and so traffic was a nightmare the entire time.  We eventually made it and weren't too terribly late, in fact, we actually weren't late…

I spoke with Gavin speech therapist yesterday because she wanted to talk before meeting with Gavin.  She's really cool and does a fantastic job of working with Gavin.  She has expressed concern because Gavin is having meltdowns at every appointment.  When she tries to talk him down or says anything at all, he just gets more upset and agitated. For the record, she handles Gavin amazingly well, so this has nothing to do with her. The worry is that with his increasing medical instability, these meltdowns aren't a positive thing.  She's also noticing more speech difficulties but can't address them without Gavin freaking out.  He had only a few minutes left after we finished speaking but in the 5 minutes, he lost his cool and yelled at her. Today we return to the Cleveland Clinic for the second time this week.  This time we will be visiting the their Medina location. Lizze has had bad knees for many, many years. We will be going this morning to see the orthopedics Clinic.  They are going to do xrays of her knees and then meet with us to discuss her options. Enlight of yesterday's news, she has been up all night, literally without any sleep and I was too far behind. She really freaked out and understandably so. This is going to be a really long day. I've been absent today, at least as far as blogging is concerned. The truth is that we have had the today end on a really bad note. This afternoon while I was at speech and OT with the boys, Lizze got some very disturbing/concerning news.  Her new OB/GYN at the Cleveland Clinic sent her an email with some lab results from Mondays blood work.... The was told to contact the clinic and make an appointment for two weeks from now and they would explain further. Late this afternoon we got a call back from the doctors office.  They wanted to explain in further detail what was going on and what the lab results mean. I took Emmett to the park for some Fit4Autism exercise, after we left Dr. Patti's office this morning.  We walked the track and got some wiggles out.  Emmett had to stop and try out all the exercise equipment, so our 1.77 mile walk, took us about an hour.  He did really awesome.  We had an impromptu stop at the playground along the way. He played really well with the other kids.
