People say that things always get worse before they get better. I really hope they're right.  I mean, I don't know who said that, so I don't know if they know what they're talking about.  Having said that, for the sake of being hopeful, I'm going to assume they are right.  That being the case, things should definitely be getting better soon.  They've got to get better. It's been a little while since I've last updated you as to the status of our current status.  First let me thank you all for the out pouring if support.  It's quite humbling to know that so many if you care.  Thank you. As for our current status..... We've not had any contact with Child Protective Services is well over a week.  The last phone call I received had us in a pretty good spot. At this point, I don't think they believe the allegations that we don't take our kids to the doctors. However, they are still waiting to here back from the Cleveland Clinic and Akron Children's Hospital. I'm told that if those come back without any concern, the case will be closed. As we were leaving the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo this evening, we ran into someone really special.  Emmett was hitching a ride in the stroller and who should we stumble across? Wolverine..... Today was really stressful for me at first.  I let a few things get to me that I really shouldn't have. Lizze and I were at odds for awhile and that's never a good thing.  Unfortunately, I'm only human and I have bad days from time time to time. Lizze and I worked through it and are fine now.  The truth is that sometimes life gets the better of us and we can bump heads.  However, we always work through it and come out stronger on the other side.  We are far from perfect and quite capable of making mistakes.  We just do our best to learn from our mistakes and never go to bed angry.  This post had began as The Friday Report and turned into more of a…

Yesterday, Gavin  spent the night at Lizze's parents.  This served a duel purpose.  One, despite how well Gavin is doing, we needed a break.  He also needed a shower and we're still without hot water. At 6pm this evening, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo will be closing its doors to the general public and opening them up to the special needs community.  The Cleveland Zoo is working with area Children's Hospitals, including Akron Children's Hospital, to provide special needs children with an evening at the Zoo.  This event will be better for these children and their families because there will be fewer people and everyone that's there will be someone that understands. The Lost and Tired family will be in attendance and I for one can't wait.  The boys are really, really excited. I'm not sure how Lizze is going to handle this but she's really excited as well.
