We have run into a problem with Gavin's insurance and it's causing delays in several things, including medication refill and most likely his IVIG infusion as well.  Essentially, Gavin's insurance has been changed from straight medicaid to an HMO. However, as a result everything is in transition right now and we haven't received his new insurance card. None of his meds are getting refilled right now and we just found that out today. Tuesday will be spent fleshing out all the insurance issues... All we are going to do is push the infusion back a day or so. Gavin's "Imaginary friends" are beginning to play a larger and larger roll in his life.  He's spent a great deal of time in his room today, playing cards with Sonic and Amy's son Jack. I showed you all a video of Gavin explaining what he's doing.  If you missed it earlier, it's right here. He's been back for several rematches. In fact, the last game lasted an exhausting 45 minutes. In this particular session, Gavin and Jack were playing War together. I was informed that Jack doesn't like the fact that Gavin sometimes cheats at cards but Gavin like to tease him. It appears that Emmett has rolled out of his last fever flare and right into another one.  That makes it only 3 days or so between flares.  This has happened a few times before but not very often.  I suppose this answers the question as to whether or this this was a one time thing.  Apparently, the flares are back, at least for now anyway. I have a thousand things racing through my head right now.  Emmett's going to be absolutely miserable and is already beginning to get cranky. The other thing I fear is how this will impact school in the fall. Most schools have a policy in place that says something like, any child with a fever of 101°F or above must stay home.
