I think this was our last hiking trip for awhile

I took the kids out for a walk today. I figured if we could find a place that was isolated enough, we could safely get out for a bit.

We ended up trying several places before settling on the Wellness Trail. There were no cars there and I felt pretty good about our odds. We came across a few people along the way. Only one person was wearing a mask and with as bad as things are getting, this might be our last trip for a little while. Not enough people are taking this seriously and it’s getting too dangerous.

While we were out, I was able to grab some pictures. It was a gorgeous day and we ended up walking about two miles before making our way back to the car.

On the way home, we grabbed a pizza. They have curbside pickup. I order and pay over the phone and just pop my trunk and they put the pizza in there and we’re on our way. No contact.

After dinner, I played Minecraft with the boys for a little bit. We’ve not done that in a little while and it was fun.

I got everyone in bed at a respectable hour and plan to crash as early as I can. I feel pretty good about today and I’m in a pretty good place to take on my final interview of the season.

While I have a lot on my mind, I’m managing to stay pretty chill and that’s always a good thing.

Sleep beckons and I’m not one to turn that away. Have a great night and I’ll catch you next time.

I actually mowed/mulched leaves with my riding mower. Our yard is huge and without taking the time to rake and whatnot, I still got a good amount of leaves mulched. Leaves piled against things, buildings, machines or etc will stay there until spring or get blown away. Bob was impressed and thought I worked hard. Well, I don’t know about hard work using a riding mower, but I was trashed and took a long nap. Glad you all got out since this was probably the last nice day of 2020.
