Siblings see the autism journey from a unique perspective. I’ve recorded a couple of powerful podcast episodes where siblings share what it’s like growing up alongside a brother or sister with autism. I turned 47 today, and for a long time I honestly hated my birthday. The boys and I have been through so much over the last decade or so and somewhere along the way, I gave up on myself and stopped really living. I’ve been to some really dark places and had to fight my way back. Don’t forget to tell your kids that you’re proud of them. Life is so hard and this is especially true for our kids. They need to know that no matter what, you’re proud of them. It may seem like a simple words but the impact these simple words can have on our kids is massive. ❤️🫶😊
